Taking Back the Riverbank: Pijinuiskaq Park & King Street

Ekistics Plan+Design

Pijinuiskaq Park and King Street in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, signifies a shift from a car-centric downtown to a pedestrian-oriented main street that prioritizes public space along the riverfront. Key components of this project; Ramp, Platform, and Wharf; replace a 1960’s parkade that once blocked access and views to the river.
