Are you a landscape architect working for a Canadian municipality? If so, we invite you to participate in the CSLA's Municipal Roundtable. To register, simply complete this short survey. We look forward to your involvement in shaping the future of landscape architecture in Canadian municipalities. - LA CES Monitoring Committee Representative
The LA CES is a program sponsored by key landscape architecture organizations to establish, maintain, and enforce standards for evaluating professional development and continuing education programs for landscape architects. The Monitoring Committee is one of three volunteer groups that support the effective operation of the enterprise, along with the Administrative and Application Review committees. Volunteers serve a three year term, reviewing between eight and ten providers (1 hour each) and are active throughout the duration of the Monitoring Process, which runs from June through September. Did you know that approximately 20% of CSLA members work in public practice? The CSLA is launching a Public Practice Task Force and invites members working in federal, provincial and municipal governments, as well as non-profit organizations, to apply. We’re seeking members working across diverse roles such as policy, asset management, parks and recreation, project leadership, and development review.The purpose of the Task Force is to:
- Conduct a survey of CSLA members to better define the roles and unique needs of public practice landscape architects
- Evaluate CSLA programs and services for public practice members
- Strengthen the Municipal Roundtable as a peer-to-peer network
- Shape how the CSLA supports public practice, build peer networks, and advance the profession’s impact nationally.
Please submit a short expression of interest outlining your experience in public practice by October 31, 2025 to Hope Parnham at advocacy@csla-aapc.ca.
