Professor Maurice Nelischer to Receive the 2019 CSLA Teaching Award
April 13th, 2019 - The CSLA will proudly present the 2019 Teaching Award to Professor Maurice Nelischer at the CSLA Awards Gala to be held in Vancouver on May 7th, 2019.
The CSLA Teaching Award recognizes an individual who has made a substantial and significant contribution to landscape architecture education. The CSLA Board heartily endorsed Mr. Nelischer’s nomination for this award, noting that going above and beyond his role of educator was, for him, the norm. According to CSLA Member Donna Hinde:
Maurice has dedicated his entire career to fostering interest in landscape architecture and imparting the associated history, skills, and ethics of the discipline to future practitioners. He has graduated thousands of students who represent the profession well and continue to push its boundaries and ensure that landscape architects rise to meet the challenges of our changing world.
