The Provincial Parliament Building in Quebec City (Hôtel du Parlement) is located on a sloping site overlooking the Old City. It is set within Place de l’Assemblée Nationale, together with other heritage buildings and the Premier’s Office. The landscape master plan for this site calls for enhancing these public buildings by creating an attractive experience site for residents and visitors, as well as an identity icon in the city.
A locus of authority, heritage and commemoration, the site now has attractive deambulatories and hospitable resting areas. The use of noble materials, distinctive furniture, refined plant material and first quality workmanship creates a unique landscape and enhances the status of the site.
