The site commemorates its history, as told through three important landscape elements: the river and its piers, the traces of railways lines, and the surrounding city in development.
The park reimagines a railway tunnel rooftop, creating a space that is suspended between city and river, offering unique panoramic views of its landscape and surrounding industrial and architectural icons.
The arrangement and selection of plantings make present the site's railway archeology, and reference previous landscapes, while the site's furnishings and lighting highlight connections between the site and its history.
The project revives and transforms an industrial wasteland into a promenade, a place for enjoyment and activity and returns it to the community at large as something greater than it was before.
