Mr. Patrick Bollenberghe graduated from the University of Toronto Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program with Honours in 1973. He was accepted as a member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects and the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects in 1977.
Patrick has been principal of the MBTW Group since 1974. He is a landscape architect, urban designer, and resort and community planner. As a design partner of the firm, he has participated in a broad spectrum of work at various scales in both the public and private sectors - from master/site planning, planned communities and institutional developments to streetscapes, theme gardens, urban parks, open space systems and courtyards. His uncompromising standards, ingenuity in problem solving and broad perspective on the artistry, science and business of landscape architecture have inspired the respect of his clients, peers, associates and staff - and the creation of memorable places for people.
Patrick has served in various advisory capacities, including the Arts Advisory Committee for the cities of Toronto and Scarborough, Ontario’s Barrier Free Design Awards Committee, and urban design charrettes on Main Street Revitalizations. He has also served as a visiting lecturer and juror in the Schools of Architecture/Landscape Architecture at the University of Guelph and Toronto, and the Ryerson Polytechnic University.
His leadership, commitment to excellence, and ongoing service to the community, the profession and the Society set him apart from the crowd. We are therefore very pleased to recognize Patrick Bollenberghe’s outstanding contributions and welcome him warmly into the College of Fellows.
