John D. Consolati earned the BCSLA. degree from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1964 and is a Member of the Ontario Association, the Canadian Society and the American Society of Landscape Architects. He has served on various committees of the OALA, as Chair of the CSLA Accreditation Council (1980-83), as Secretary (1984-86) and as President (1988-89) of the ASLA Ontario Chapter, as well as on the ASLA Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (since 1982).
John is President of his own firm, Consolati Consultants Inc., since 1979 and is also Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Toronto since 1983. He has served as Juror on several professional design award programs and received the 1980 Award for Excellence in Research from the CSLA Foundation for his extensive research activities. His firm has been responsible for numerous significant projects in Canada, the U.S.A. and overseas.
