Dan Euser is a Landscape Architect who specializes in water feature design. He graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute’s LAT program in 1978 and has been a full OALA/CSLA member since 1982. His career began at Moorhead Fleming Corban Landscape Architects, where for more than a decade he was significantly involved in many of the award-winning projects which often had water elements. The early 1990s saw him honing his skills at RJ VanSeters, a water feature design and supply firm. Here he developed the all-season rain and ice curtain feature at Yorkville Village Park in Toronto (ASLA Landmark Award 2012).
In 1997 Dan founded Dan Euser Waterarchitecture (DEW), a firm dedicated solely to the design of water features. His love for solving complex challenges has given him the privilege of collaborating with many world-renowned Architects, Landscape Architects, and artists. Focusing on maximizing aesthetics, sustainability, efficiency, interactivity, climate effects, and operations has allowed for their concepts to become reality. Award-winning projects include urban centers, gardens, museums, memorials, waterfronts, and theme parks. 2004 saw him awarded the water effects design of the 9-11 Memorial, NY, NY. In 2006 he received the OALA Pinnacle Award for Landscape Architectural Excellence. He has shared his knowledge at ASLA and CSLA conferences and at universities.
