Mills & Wright is an award-winning landscape planning and design studio based in the heart of downtown St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Our team of talented design professionals works with rural and urban communities  across Atlantic Canada on projects ranging from small to large, with one common goal in mind: to create incredible spaces that enhance the enjoyment of our beautiful corner of Canada.

What We Need:

  • A talented Landscape Architect or Landscape Designer with a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience;
  • Someone personable, driven, with a high standard of quality for their work;
  • Someone with an excellent knowledge of landscape design and construction;
  • Someone comfortable with presenting and engaging with clients, project teams, and the public;
  • A champion for addressing contemporary issues in landscape architecture such as climate change adaptation, truth and reconciliation, equity and inclusion, and more.

Required Qualifications:

  • Background in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Environmental Design or similar design profession;
  • High level of proficiency with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.);
  • APALA membership (or willingness to become an APALA member);
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated design expertise and technical ability;
  • Valid driver’s license as this position will require occasional travel;
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn in a small, team-based environment.

Other combinations of training and experience may also be considered if relevant to the practice of landscape architecture or landscape design.
