CSLA Enthusiastically Supports Flora Ottawa 2017

On February 18th, 2014, CSLA President Peter Briggs addressed a letter to the Honourable Gerry Ritz, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, supporting the Flora Ottawa 2017 initiative.

Flora Ottawa 2017 is a proposal for an International Horticultural Exhibition to be held from May 13th to October 9th 2017 in Ottawa which is expected to draw 3 million visitors.

The main programming sites are:

  • Canadensis Botanical Garden (Flora Ottawa 2017 will serve as the catalyst for completion of a world-class national botanical garden at the Central Experimental Farm)
  • Queen Juliana Park
  • Lansdowne
  • Downtown Flora Plaza
