A charrette coordinated with professors and students from the National University of Mexico’s (UNAM) landscape architecture program will take place on the afternoon of Friday, May 22nd, 1:00pm-4:00pm.
Touching on two themes of Livable Cities: Culture & Heritage and Active Transportation, the site is nearby the conference hotel and was requested for consideration by the community. It includes a plaza busy with local commerce, is on a major transportation corridor with a bike lane, bus route and metro station nearby, and is next to a historical church.
Canadian and Mexican landscape architects interested in taking part in this charette will make a site visit together the during the afternoon the day before.
